- Check once again if your model number matches that of the above-mentioned.
- Thereafter, tap on Software information and then tap on Build number 5-7 times.

- Locate OEM unlock and activate it. (Note: It will be available only after 7 days since you had started using the phone.)
- Also, locate and Enable USB Debugging, that should be in the same place.
C) Prepare the device
- Power down your Galaxy S9 or S9+ by holding the Volume Down button, Bixby, and Power button for a few seconds.
- Release hold when you see a warning sign on the screen.
- Now, press the Volume Up button and enter the Download mode.
- Finally, connect the phone to your Windows PC with a USB cable.
D) Install downloaded files on PC
- Install Samsung USB drivers, if you have never installed it before.
- Then unzip ODIN and run the .exe program file.
E) Use ODIN to install TWRP on Galaxy S9/S9+
- In the software, ensure that the first ID:COM box is highlighted with blue.
- Click on the button AP or check the box to its left side.
- Then choose TWRP recovery image file that you had downloaded earlier.
- Ensure that your phone is still connected to the PC via a USB.
- Then hit Start on ODIN and pay attention to the phone that's about to reboot.
- Once the screen shuts off, hold down Volume Up, Bixby and Power button simultaneously for 5-10 seconds.
- Don't mess up this step, or else you'd have to reflash the stock firmware and may even have to wait for 7 days extra!
- If everything goes right, you should see the message "PASS" appear on ODIN.
